The current technical-legal setback as a result of the cancelation of environmental license, in the sector of the argued influence of Caño Cristales in Serranía de la Macarena, could show that both the ANH as well as ANLA, not only speak different languages but are also going through paths and purposes of national interest that are impossible to reconcile. What the communities and the ones involved least expect is that the two authorities in command: oil –environment, have clearly defined and aligned both the Maps of Lands of Oil Blocks which is potentially auctionable with the Map of Environmentally Exploitable Lands by the hydrocarbons sector.
Will it be revealed that entities don´t act under an agreement with a common interest that allows the country to manage with absolute unity of technical-legal criterion two key national and non-arguable purposes: the environment as an invaluable and irreplaceable patrimony and the oil as the engine of the development of the country?
The main cause is beyond the disqualification of the employers. It is the platform of: corporate guidelines- of institutional criteria- of geographic information that meets the two national interests at stake -; which exist or do not exist or exist independently in paths and purposes impossible to reconcile. If so, this urgently requires being intervened not to continue improvising with the image of the country.
It is important that both entities ANLA – ANH, sit together to homogenize and set the bases of what the country can really promote. Setbacks like this one, clash not only with the legal seriousness of the country but also with the technical-interinstitutional identity in terms of social interest.
